Drive-through plans denied for the 'Med'

The ‘Med’ on Perne Road has a planning permission that includes a takeaway.  An additional planning application for detailed layout and traffic routing for a drive-through takeaway was turned down by council planning officers on the grounds that:

  • it needed to provide a detailed traffic impact assessment
  • it could result in disturbance to the residential area of Lichfield Road behind the Med.

For more detail, see the full planning application on the council’s website.

We have been assured by the owner that the plans are for a local takeaway and not a national chain.
