Number 114 bus route to continue

Good news - the 114 bus route is to continue!

As your County Councillor for Coleridge Ward and also the Labour Party Transport spokesperson on the County Council I have been lobbying for the retention of the 114 bus route, which frequents theĀ Beehive Centre, Sainsburys, Grafton Centre and other retail outlets.

However, instead of having two buses an hour the frequency of the buses on the 114 route is likely to be reduced to one bus per hour.

This is because a CFT (Cambridge Future Transport) survey revealed the 114 Bus to be greatly under-used.

In my own survey, residents preferred a start time of 9.30 am and they also accepted why the frequency will be reduced to an hourly service.
